I feel like a girl with a brand new dress.  Yup, thanks to our good friend Michael Davis, I have a fo’ real looking blog.  Pretty sweet, aye?

The why on the redesign is more of a why not – who says no when someone offers to make you look good?  The name change, however, could stand for a bit more explanation.

When we bought the farm, we didn’t have a name for the farm.  Actually, I’m lying.  The property did have a name… Strawbery Hollow.  And no folks, I did not forget an “r” – someone else did (or simply couldn’t fit it on the sign) back in 1978.  While I have no real qualms with Strawberry Hollow, I couldn’t bring myself to embracing that misspelling.  In fact, that missing letter is part of what inspired me name my blog “Home Growed.”

After living here for five months, Will and I finally settled on the name Red Row Farm.  For us, it evokes the image of furrows of Virginia clay soil waiting to be planted, and also happens to be the name of our street.  Now that we had a real name, it seemed like the blog should follow suit.

I hope you enjoy the new look.  I certainly do!
